I just purchased Dragons Naturally Speaking voice recognition software and need some suggestions for either a good USB or regular headset to use, preferably available at BB,CC, Office Max,Office Depot,or Walmart. And we thank you for your support. (The mic/headphone combo that came with the software is pretty uncomfortable and flimsy/cheap)

Is a USB headset going to have any advantages or disadvantages Vs. an analog headset?

There arent that many high quality headsets out there, if you are concerned about the audio quality (music, movies etc..) then buying a good headphone with a separate mic is the best option. Desktop mics are pretty good for normal voice conversations, but I'm not sure how they compare to a headsets with a mic booms with regard to voice recognition software. A headset might have a slight advantage.... -
Yeah, headsets never compete with normal headphones when it comes to sound quality, or the price for the quality. I'd get some nice headphones, and a mic. you could even get an external sound card if your picky about sound(I am so I have a good quality one).

I already have several pair of "Audiophile Grade" ear cans. I am just looking for a good headset (comfortable & accurate) to use with my newly acquired voice recognition software.
