Well, if you wouldn't mind spending $25, then I'd recommend you take a look at Altec Lansing AHS302i.

well they have the Logitech PC Gaming headsets at bestbuy for like $25 and Altec Lansings for about $23.. id buy em just because they go around your neck and dont leave that "flat-patch-of-hair" look that i find annoying. And on top of that my friends point at me, point out that i've been wearing a headset, and laugh. **** i need new friends =\

haha anyways just shop around and you'll find decent headsets for that price. Just remember you get what you pay for (aside from the Plantronics Audio90s, which most of my friends returned atleast 2 times each, cost me a grip, and still gave me the flat-hair look)

I can highly recommend the Sony Fontopia Lightweight Ear-Bud Headphones. Here is the Best Buy link:

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051826204625&type=product

They are $38.99 here, but I found them on sale for $25. I tried them and told a couple of my friends about them. Turns out they already owned them! They have really nice sound and the silicon bugs take the shape off your ear so it makes a kind of air tight seal. It really blocks out a good amount of sound for not being noise cancelling. It came with three different bug sizes and a small case (case only holds the ear pieces). My wife has my pair now. I have to pick up another.

I've tried many noise cancelling headsets and I just can't justify the expense when these do such a great job for so much less money. I have used many larger headsets and bud-style sets. This is the most comfortable headset I've ever owned. The selection of headsets these days is daunting. My advice, buy them at a store near you with a return policy, so you can try a set and return them if you don't like them.

Were you looking for a headset that has a microphone too?

well its up to you.. when i first got a headset for my notebook, i bought the Audio90s and was fine with em.. but when i started lugging my notebook around with the headset, i realized it wasnt convient having to worry about my hair messing up all the dammn time.. its all personal preference man.

I own the Logitech Extreme Gaming Headset (here's a review), and they have been awesome

oh and listen to e6bwhiz when it comes to earbuds.. a friend of mine has that exact same pair and im kinda jealous =\
