Long time lurker, first time poster...etc.

So I travel for work 4 days a week and usually spend at least two lazy nights a week in a hotel. Great time for gaming! So I just ordered an HP Omen X (17in or 17.3in idk) to replace a much order 17in laptop that I currently carry in a Swiss gear backpack...along with a 25in spinner suitcase and a massive multiple meal lunchbox. That's getting kinda old and and I'd really like to be able to drop the backpack. (It barely fits my current 17in and I know the Omen is larger)

Ideally I'd like a hardcase 25-29in roller with an external pocket but I don't think they make them although I've seen ones with a hard pocket for a 15in laptop. Other then that a soft sided suitcase is fine as I mostly travel by train and I'm the only one who's ever going to handle it (I would just have to find a good sleeve). The travelpro maxlite series might do this but I can't find any dimensions on the size of the external pocket.

For various reasons I really don't just want to get a case for the laptop and throw it inside, its just that I will be situations where I'd have to remove it to get to my work items or remove my work items to get to it...a seperate compartment is best. A briefcase style bag to slide on top of a suitcase handle is also out of the question as my large lunchbox is already there and as I'm on a restricted diet, its crucial when I'm away from home.

Any help here would be appreciated.
