    Hi everyone,

I have a VAIO FS-660/W laptop (windows XP) and I am planning to get a USB GPRS modem.
I've seen that HUAWEI E169G 3G USB Modem is one such modem and is a good one.

I wanted to know what is the best available out there right now that will work with my system.

are the modems just simple plug and play. just put the sim card in and thats it?

Would appreciate it if some of you can give me some suggestions.

    Thanks.

    Where are you?

A lot of the service provider provide a bundle including the modem.

Since the modem is not specific to a computer type, I'm moving this to the accessories forum where it should get wider attention.
