I am looking for the following suggestions for two things
1) a backlit usb keyboard
2) a monitor that has inputs for p3s and my xbox 360n as I need to consolidate space
Any help or suggestions with either would be most appreciated

What is your budget?
For the keyboard, Logitech generally makes decent keyboards, take a look at the G11 or G15. As well, Saitek makes no frills backlit keyboards for decent prices.
As for the monitor, it depends how big you want to go. You can grab a nice 2407wfp from Dell for a good $700~(Last I checked?) or so, loaded with ports. Another option would be to look in stores and at the display models. -
For Keyboard, Logitech G15 or Saitek Eclipse I/II or Cyborg.
For monitor, The Dell 2408 is probably the only one that will do the job well. Use the HDMI for your PS3, DVI-D for your PC and VGA/Component input for your 360.
The 2407 will work in a pinch. You can use the component for PS3, DVI-D for PC and VGA for the 360 but you will have problem with watching blu-ray movies as it's not true 1080p HDCP. -
For the keyboard maybe 50 to 80ish and for the monitor/tv under 300 would be ideal.

Well, The Saitek Eclipse II is under $50 and the G15 is about $60. But for monitor. You need to save up. You're not going to find a good quality 1920x1200 monitor for anything under $600 and don't even look at those $399 24" as they are usually 6 bits panel with less color depth and poor viewing angles.
If you are willing to settle for none 1080p then take a look at the ViewSonic DiamaniDuo NX2232w at around $360. It's only 1680x1050 but it's one of the few monitor under 24" that offers the wide array of input options.
