I've had this Casio Keyboard LK-42 for a few good years now, and I've decided to connect it to my computer to create and download my own music. After asking a few fellow members and friends from SiF, I took the plunge myself and accomplished this using a MidiLink USB to Midi cable; it connects and works perfectly - trouble is whenever I play any notes through Audacity (which I use to download my keyboard music), there is an immense amount of background/static noise, which is louder than the music itself!

So does anyone have any idea what is wrong please, and how I can make my music sound crystal clear (And no, removing the background noise doesn't help either) ?
