I find I need a new backpack for both school, and tech duties (computer).
    Here's my requirements:
    Size: 15.4" notebook
    1. Material does not matter much as long as it's durable. Leather, well stitched synthetic fibers, etc
    2. Slots for tools like screw drivers, and other necessary things like: IDE/SATA to usb Adapters, DVD drive modular (or E-modular bay) for laptops, flashlights, cables for sata/ide/power etc, power adapter or two, sound card.
In other words plenty of compartments.
    3. Offer good protection for the laptop with padding on sides/below/top.
    Water resistant is a plus.
    4. Big enough when emptied to carry 2-3 books+ a laptop.

    Minor requirements:
    1. A way to attach Full sized headphones. (JVC HA-RX900/etc)
    2. Cellphone pouch, holes for headphones.
    3. If possible a hard surface when the laptop is opened.
    4. If possible but more then likely not possible, a build in locking mechanism.

    Price range:
    $0-$150~

    Online or Store?
    Either is fine.

Looks? This typically is not important but I will likely be using it at work so it has to have a business look to it.
Since it's business oriented the colors: black, dark brown/black or grey should be about as far that as goes. Perhaps very very dark olive green could also work.

    Thanks.

Personally, I like Booq bags, and there is one in FS here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/eve...booq-bag-boa-3l-80-amazing-17-laptop-bag.html which I think is a very nice bag.

The Brain Bag Laptop Backpack by: TOM BIHN Is a very popular bag (obviously in black for your needs ;))

Metrolite BP-XF | Brenthaven.com Another popular company with very nice looking bags.

Timbuk2 Bags - Q Backpack - Mission6 Nylon Fabric My friend has a bag from this company, very well made.

BBP Laptop Bags - Hybrid Bags, Breathe Sleeves, Industries Backpacks, Industries Messenger, Expand-It Messengers, DSLR Slinger Never heard of this company before, but I like the look.

    Meh just my $.02
