I want to buy a 500gb external hard drive.

I was looking at this one from Simpletech Pininfarina. It's on sale for 120 at best buy UNTIL TODAY. haha so I need to decide soon.

The other one I'm looking at is the Seagate Freeagent Pro. It's selling at 150 from Sam's Club. The reason I want the freeagent is that it has a esata connection, not just USB 2.0. However does that make that big of a difference? If it doesn't, I would just get the cheaper one. I know it's technically faster but is it significant?

I'd opt for the Seagate FreeAgent Pro. It is a very good HD. The Pininfarina looks attractive, but I'm not too sure about its performance or reliability.

eSATA is a lot faster than USB2.0, so go with Seagate.
