not sure where to post this but here goes-
I just purchased an Ipod Video off a friend and Its been plugged into the USB for 4 hours now. It was finally recognized by iTunes and I did the clean install etc and now the ipod wont come off the Apple logo screen. It occasionally goes back to the low batt but its been charging for several hours now. I unplug it and it just shuts off. I don't know what to do. Ive tried resetting but it just crashes

Hmm...I have never had something like this happen to me before. Try asking your friend if he knows how to fix it. Also see if he still has a warranty on it.

Also try checking out this website, and ask your question there.

Personally, I would ask your 'friend' to take it back.

I don't know if this is too late or not, but one thing that might work is using a wall adapter (or one of those iPod iHome radio bits) instead of the USB. If the thing dies completely, and while dead you try to boot it, you will not be able to do so with the USB due to the amount of power it can draw, etc.

However, this might not be the case with yours, it may just be broken. I'd take it to a local Apple store and see what they can do as they will try to help you with or without warranty.

Now just make sure you don't end up with another ipod because they ALL do this very thing. Go with a creative, or cowon, or even a zune.
