Alright, currently I have a OGIO Newt II, Bags and Backpacks for School and Work from OGIO featuring the Newt II Bag backpack. I like the looks, but it is just too bulky for the amount of space you actually have.

What I am looking for is a bag to carry daily that will hold my tablet, some small tech items (charger, headphones, etc), Maybe a school book or 2, and gym clothes. i also would like to be able to carry my 15.6" Ultrabook occasionally if needed.

My complaints with the OGIO is that it has too many compartments and it takes away from available space. It makes it impossible to put clothes in there without them being terribly wrinkled. Add one book with my normal stuff and it looks like space is maxed out.

I like the Belkin Dash Backpack because it doesnt have a million compartment and the main compartment has a big enough space for clothes or books. My problem is, I find it ugly as sin. I am limited to Amazon because I have credit there that I want to use up.

    Ideal bag:
Big main compartment for books or clothes
    Laptop compartment
    Area for small tech items.
Not over the top with details. Plainer the better.

I have the Herschel Little America bag, it seems nice enough and doesn't scream out I have a laptop come rob me.

Only issue is no specific area for small tech bits really. You should be able to find it in a few shops to visually inspect it, see if it suits you.

You could check out what Everki offers too, I have one for my Precision and so far it has held up better than most laptop backpacks I've used. I would also look at a sleeve + regular backpack as an alternative.

I second this. The larger Everki backpacks are some of the best that I have ever used. I currently use one of their inch backpacks ( this one), and I couldn't be happier. I initially bought it because my Asus G73 wouldn't fit into damn near anything in the 17.3 inch range, but now I use it for for my Alienware M11x as well as assorted school materials and it works just fine. It's got plenty of space, holds all but the most massive of laptops, and is durable enough to survive a hefty amount of use.

The issue with this bag (and other Jansport bags) is that once the laptop is inside the bag, there is very little space for anything but basic laptop accessories.

I ended up going with the Ohio newt 15. Very happy with my decision. Slim, fits a 15", just enough pockets. By far my favorite bag I've owned(I've owned a lot)
