So I just got a $100 gift card for newegg, and I am not sure what to buy. What I could use it one of those high end mouses like the g700 and r.a.t.7, the only problem is they both have a small problem or two with them. The only thing I have and do not need is a headset, so anything else is fine for me. I'll take any recommendations possible. I would love accessories that work nicely with both laptops and desktops.

The SteelSeries Xai laser gaming mouse is my mouse of choice at the moment - $90 or so.
Alternatively, have you considered saving the gift card for something you need? You never know when a hard drive is going to fail . . . -
G700, can't go wrong with it. and what is the problem with g700 may I know?
-
If my hard drive did ever fail on me, I would just buy a ssd, and I do not think a $100 will cover one of those just yet lol. The only thing I know I am going to buy in the next year is TOR when it goes on pre-order.
That mouse seems nice, but the reviews on newegg make it seem decent at best, with some lousy software and so-so build quality.
@Crayonyes I keep hearing about the small movement problem with the g700 on fps games, and a lot of people complain about the stiff usb cable that comes with it making it annoying to use wired. -
-
Well I most likely will go with the g700 since it is the only mouse really on the market that works beautifully with a laptop and a desktop
-
I think that's a good idea save the day. I mainly play fps and never notice that problem. I also mainly play cs source so I think I would if mine had such a problem.

Logitech G500 mouse is the BEST mouse I have ever bought In my ENTIRE life....imo
-
what i gotta use batteries with the g700. FAIL
-
check your cellphone I bet it uses battery lol -
I too have to pop in and say that the G700 is best mouse I've ever owned ever. Seriously, play with it and pick it up. Too many useful features [to me] and it feels great and performs great.

Aaaa forget the mouse.Get a nice docking station:
Newegg.com - TOSHIBA PA3778U-1PRP Dynadock V USB Docking Station with Video -
+2 on g700. best mouse ever. Coming up from an Orochi and picked it out of the 3 from mamba, g9x and rat7. No regrets.
I use every single button on it lol. I only have 2 profiles, the first as gaming set on 1000hz polling and all my macros and other stuff for cod. Then a "Productivity" profile which turns off the mouse after how ever long it takes. Instead of turning the mouse on and off I just switch it to the productivity profile and let it shut off by itself.
Like what NSX said, go and see them in person at like best buy or some store around you. The g900. -
Go to your local bestbuy and see if they have any of the mice you want so you can feel then up but don't pick a mouse based on if it has batteries or not because the fact that there is no resistance from a cord on a wireless mouse makes up for the fact that you have to charge/change the batteries every couple of days/weeks. FREEDOM !!!!

I love the RAT 7 and highly recommend it. Best mouse I have ever used. That said, go to a local store and see what mice they have. Feeling them in your hand makes a huge difference and can make a decision easy.
-
I highly recommend the Razer DeathAdder. Best wired mouse I've ever used, and definitely the most comfortable as well. Plus, it'll leave you a good bit of change for something else.
-
I'd get more RAM
-
Unless you really need/want a mouse though, I'd probably look into smaller items you might need. -
I already bought the g700 when it went on sale on newegg for $85 lol, thanks for the help though.
Help me spend $100
