Hello, i just bought this laptop from the us and am waiting for it to arrive here in aus.

    Amazon.com: Acer AS5253-BZ602 15.6-Inch Laptop: Computer & Accessories

I'm aware that I need some sort of converter or new power supply as the sockets are different here in Australia, but I have no idea what i need to buy and the whole situation is confusing me lol...
Any help in this department would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Laptop power adaptors handle input voltages from 110V to 250V so that will be OK. The actual adaptor is probably a brick with a cable from the wall to the brick and another to the laptop. Just replace the cable from the wall with the Australian version. You should be able to get one for less than $10 from Smith or JayCar. The cable you want will probably be Cloverleaf Power Mains Lead but it could be a 2 Pin Mains Equipment Power Lead.
