I have a bunch of old Hi-8 tapes that I would like to backup to DVD.
I have a camcorder to play back the takes and the video cables for the camcorder.
What type of adapter or something can I use to connect the video cables from my camcorder into it and then have it transferred to my had drive for later copy to DVD?

i don't know any of tuners that have input like that. but you can search on "google". type usb tv tuner and see if you can find any product like that(if you can't find one, ask me to search for it) ^^ -
Or check out the list of TV cards and Tuners at Videohelp.com.

if you absolutely have to, (there's no tuners you can find in your price range with rca video in), you can record the hi-8 tapes onto vhs, and use the coax out of the vcr in to the tuner card... but use that as a last resort, because it wont be too pretty
