Hello. I have been using my NZXT Cryo LX with the Velleman adapter that many people have been using for years now. It didn't seem powerful enough to me at only 1.5A and the plug was slightly off size, but since I paid for it I have used it. But with the dogs constantly running around and yanking the plug out, it has finally bit the dust. I am now using a 5v/2.4A adapter, which runs them practically just as fast as the 12v/1.5A Velleman!
I have been looking around for hours for a 12v (adjustable voltage and 1.3mm tip included, hopefully) adapter that has between 2A-3A, but I can't seem to find anything! I had found something else from Velleman that looks perfect, but it is not out yet: Velleman, Inc.
It seems to put out 2.5A@12V (4A@5V!), and has 8 plugs -- one that will fit @1.0x3.0mm!
Has anyone seen anything else comparable? I'm still looking, but if anyone has any ideas for something else, preferably one that is actually released and purchasable, please let me know!
Thanks!
(PS -- The other threads about this have been closed, so I am posting a new one. I hope that is OK.)

first off if your running at 5v now instead of 12v those fans should be spinning slower because they are made for 12v. Also as far as I understand if its meant to run at 12v and you get an adapter that has 12v but higher amps it shouldn't run faster unless the old adapter wasn't strong enough. V is what controls how fast they spin...unless if the amps is too low then that is a factor
a fan is rated for 12v and 1 amp
you connect a 12v adapter with 2 amps (it'll only draw 1 amp)
you get a 12v adapter with .5amps it'll pull .5amps and run slower
you connect a 6v adapter with 1amp or 2 amps it'll still only pull 1 amp (If i remember correctly) Also run at 50% speed...give or take
you connect a 6v .5amp adapter you will get 25% speed...give or take
does this make sense?
Also 1x3mm is not 1.3mm...i honestly have no idea what size that is. 1mm wide 3 mm long? still wont fit if you need 1.3mm. Your .3mm short.
Worse case if you can't find the right plug splice the old 1.3mm and connect it to a new power adapter.
Also did you check on amazon?
Lastly, I do not know if running fans at a lower V is bad...I dont think its that bad but I dont know. I am running some right now at 5v instead of 12v so they run slower....they are way too loud lol -
There are 3x120mm computer case fans, and they are all rated for 12v, but the cooler comes stock with a crappy/underpowered 5v adapter.
And yes, 1mm wide x 3mm long. That's what fits. It is in the older NZXT power adapter thread. They recommend one that can do 2A-3A@12v in that thread. Also, running them at lower voltage doesn't harm them.
By the way, for anyone else interested, I got a reply from Velleman:

I simply used a 12V 4A adapter from an older printer with my Scythe fans to which i changed the plug with the one from the original adapter.
Also, underpowering fans won't hurt them, they'll spin slower or not at all. -
