I got this backpack because from the video below, it seemed like it could hold the 17" Dell Precision 7730 in its water sleeve.

It does hold the 7730, but its a tight fit. The laptop edges end up being jammed against the top fabric of the laptop (not the zippers). The problem is that the water sleeve goes only partially to the bottom, as a result, the laptop ends up being a few inches above the bottom.

    Pros:
    Seems to be well made
Heavy duty zippers. Really like the zippers
Can hold the 7730, albeit just barely in the unpadded sleeve
Laptop does not hit the bottom
Bottom fabric is 1680 denier nylon (very durable)
    Presence of hip belt
Price: Currently can be had for about $35.

    Cons:
Laptop edges jammed against the top fabric
No internal frame, just a padded foam type somewhat rigid backside
    Slightly short torso length

Anything bigger than the 7730 *will not* fit.
