    As the manufacturer describes it "Heliodisplay images are not holographic although they are free-space, employing a rear projection system in which images are captured onto a nearly invisible plane of transformed air."


    I started researching this after I saw it in a newsletter a few months ago and found this on YouTube:

    I told my friend about it and he actually bought one - it's a real deskspace saver!!! (works with DVI not VGA)

    Just out of curiosity...

    1) Could your friend upload pics?
    2) It mentions 'mist.' What kind of mist (EDIT: Wiki article says a liter of tap water for several hours operation), and it is actually safe to have around computers?

    I read about the prototypes several years ago, and I was quite impressed back then. Looks like the display is back again.
