I just bought the Wack O' Phone model and I've heard a lot about how you wear these messenger bags differently to others, but I can't see how it's that different. Can anyone enlighten me?

Also what's this 'Third Leg' thing meant to do? It's just a buckle and strap that pull one of the corners of the backpack further around your body, holding it closer to the contours of your back it seems.

Cheers. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

i actually was wondering that, the only bag i've got to try was one i took from my sister but it was just a cheap one she found. i found it uncomfortable,so i haven't looked for a messenger bag for my laptop.but maybe it was just me.

Was the one you tried from your sister a Crumpler?

Personally I'd say a backpack is best for carrying notebooks amongst other things, as it spreads the weight and doesn't look odd. It depends what notebook you want to be carrying though.

i say, if you have a messenger bag, then pick a shoulder and adjust the bag to be carried on that shoulder.

my jansport is for the left.

i never heard of that brand but i bet if you search google you will get a lot of hip young teens wearing those bags and looking like they have angst. or something to that effect.
