I was just wondering, is your zalman cooler on the lowest setting? How much do you scroll it?

Always on the highest because when it comes to coolers this one already is near the bottom of the food chain when it comes to CFM & Cooling power.
On high its equal to low on others, and on low its not even doing anything. -
Its not just cfm... fan/vent alignment with the vents/fan on notebook have more to do with it.

On an open air system like the NC1000 the air will go where it needs to automatically. Its not like other coolers where it only has one or two openings for air.
Plus its easy eough to do the "gophin" mod with cardbord or something to focus the air.
Point blank the NC1000 moves very little air compared to many other coolers, thats CFM, thats less pressure and that means less chance fo the air to get forced into the notebook where it needs to be or less cool air to replace the hot air for cooling.
Other coolers like the infinity, areolous (spelling), or the one from digital cowboy have similar airflow with higher cfm. -
Read the nc1000 vs 2000 the 1000 air you can actually feel pushing out the holes yet the 2000 beats it due to overall coverage over CFM. Its been argued many times...
