    Hi

As some of you may know, I recently purchased a W3J from HK.

The problem is that although the HK version of the W3J came with a messenger bag, it kinda smells funky.... like a new polyester smell...

I was wondering how should I clean it? there's no manual depicting how to clean it....

Do I throw it into the washing machine or just spray febreeze?

    Thanks

If its just cloth, i'd say febreze it and air it out. It seems like its just the chemical smell from the factory.

Most of these bags are not going to survive a trip through the washing machine--they'll crumple up and go all floppy at the least--or never properly dry out at the worst. Spot-cleaning the surface (slightly damp sponge with very mild detergent) is about all you should be doing to most laptop bags (check care labels to make sure, of course)

For the smell, just open all the zippers and let the vinyl degas for a few days in a part of your house where it won't bother you much. Like that new-car smell, it's likely to dissipate without any further effort on your part. Maybe set it next to an opened box of baking powder to really encourage those odors to get sucked out and away from the bag...

I would just spray it. It will eventually go away.

I use shampoo to hand wash sensitive stuff. My I suggest that you just hand wash it with cold water and shampoo in the sink. Then hang it to dry in the bathroom. Do not use the dryer. Good luck.
