I just recently brought an Antec notebook cooler. I know this is suppose to "cool" the notebook down but how can you tell if the notebook is cooler than before? It still blows hot air out on my A8JP but everything else feels a bit cooler than before.

Do you have a program like Notebook Hardware Control so you can see your laptops temperature?

Well I used it without playing CSS.... 66 degrees
Then with it playing CSS.... 66 degrees

Is there suppose to be any change when playing a video game?

When i leave it on, its around 49 degrees
With the cooler its 45 degrees

Is this something i should keep?

Well the temperature drops very quickly after exiting games so that is probably why the temperatures look the same. I would keep it since you noticed that your temperatures were lower when you left your laptop on.

I agree with Tim. Keeping the notebook cooler and using it is better than not having anything. Sometimes, particular coolers are effective, because they blow fresh air under a part of the notebook, where it isn't needed.

I took a 2nd trial and 3rd trial and well... there mustve been a variable in my first trial because both temps remained identical. 65 and 45 degrees. Therefore, i returned it and brought the targus chill mat. However, this mat does the same thing. Is there a cooler that will actually work with my A8JP? I saw a kensington cooler that makes the laptop slant slightly. Im not sure if that is any good though.
