I want to use both the external speakers that run through the headphone jack and the laptop speakers at the same time, but cannot locate a setting to override the default setting that when something is plugged into the headphone jack, sound does not come from the laptop. Any ideas? Is this a setting that needs to be changed during a reboot??

You probably won't be able to do that. Besides, why do you want it?

I agree with Phoenix. The laptop speakers are good, but, if you want better, louder music, then use external speakers..That's if you have a decent external speakers of course.

More Sound...must have more sound!!! No, not really.

I'm using a set of Acoustic Research wireless speakers and if I wanted to put them in a different room, I wouldn't be able to hear the music in the room where the computer is as well as if both were playing.

I'll go into setup mode next time I reboot, I thought I remember seeing somethig of an option in there once before.
