First of all thanks to Shroom, SACH, Disturbed, and a couple of other people that have helped so far.
Alright anyway, here's the deal i COULDN'T wait until black Friday especially considering the awesome price for this mouse I give you the......
CM Storm Sentinel Advance. It was exactly $50 shipped on Amazon and to me that is a STEAL for what you get. A mouse where weights can be added, 5600 DPI, a customizable OLED screen(Insane), etc. I can go on and on, not to mention the software on this thing looks phenomenal. Here is one of the MANY great reviews this mouse received:
http://geeksmack.net/hardware/639-review-cm-storm-sentinel-advanced-gaming-mouse.html
They gave it 5 stars and said there was no cons, not to mention i have already seen about 20 sites that have given this mouse an editors choice and Amazon.com this mouse is rated a full 5 stars. The only thing i am worried about is support but Cooler Master has Chat support and telephone, so i am not worried here is a video of it for your viewing pleasure:
width='560' height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fvDPp5bpwbY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fvDPp5bpwbY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width='560' height="340"></embed></object>
If you want me to review anything about the mouse, when i receive it let me know i will get it done. But man im excited thanks to all that have helped

Do tell how it performs!! I'm in love with it ever since I read the review
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Yeah man, no problem
Now i have to see when Amazon will ship it out. Luckily it was in stock so it should be soon. -
Nice man. Please do a review as well. This looks like a wonderful mouse. Although I think I may be adding the Orochi to my portable arsenal and have my G9x as my home mouse.
-
haha wow that was really sudden. the mouse looks awesome tho! nice LED screen, like the steelseries ikari cept its in a place where you can ACTUALLY SEE IT haha. my friend showed me this mouse once, we liked it, but still the top wired mouse goes to...roccat kone. gotta love those those finland designers. too bad its soooo hard to get in america.
lol looks like you made a good choice

^^^ Thanks a lot SACH
It was pretty sudden huh? It took me ONE DAY to decide i wanted this mouse. I mean there were no cons for me. I had to rub my eyes when i saw that $50 price and saw what this mouse had in features. Plus Cooler Master the support looks pretty sweet. I also love the look of that software. I might go in an in depth review once i get it, and give it a Red Dragon's Editors choice
Also, the Roccat is amazing but I had to get this from Amazon remember, i have all those gift cars and i might as well use it. I have no regrets getting this though. You are right these guys know how to design a mouse thats for sure. You always think to yourself, what could a company really do to make a mouse look good, but now i see for myself. -
That does look like a pretty nice mouse. One of the few competitors to the Mamba in terms of DPI.
-
This does look like a good mouse. I wish the best.
-
also yea, i would love to see a red dragon reviewthis mouse looks like a keeper. if u were interested tho, the G500 is 50bucks @ bestbuy.
offtopic, but haha its really fun to use my EEE sticks that game with my laptop to game...specially with heavy in tf2 lulz, i have to set the sensitivity in-game to 15. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
I will definitely fill everyone in once i get mine.
You game on your EEE -
5600 DPI!!! WHOA. Lol.
I just bought a mouse myself, but it's a pitiful 800-1200-1600 DPI switchable. Hahaha I wanted a low-DPI setting for Photoshop works and 3D modeling.
And I'm planning to buy a gaming mouse alongside my GPU upgrade, so if you could convince me (I doubt you couldn't, Red) then that's probably my choice!
as long as I could find it locally or on eBay or something lol.
BTW, does this have a DPI switch, or is it locked to 5600DPI? And is this a glass-working mouse? lol sorry I haven't gone through your posts about the mouse yet
EDIT: alright, I found it locally, but costs about $80, darn. Hahaha I might have to rethink when, if at all, I would be jumping on this mouse. lol but looking forward to your review. -
Awesome choice, can't wait to see the review!
-
I'm really looking forward to this review!
-
LOL
That would be something else. If it was locked to 5600 DPI. -

Looking forward to your review!
About the only thing holding me back on this is the size of it. For example the Naga's size fits my hand like a glove. Now my G5, while I loved the features like the weights, side scrolling & DPI change buttons; was a tad too big for me, as far as the length and the design of the arch on the device. I still liked the G5, just wish it had a little less 'junk in the trunk' and have since passed it on to my big handed bf to use.
Given the features of this mouse, it's still very tempting for me to consider just so I could have one that matches my setup's color and still have what I enjoyed in a mouse from two separate companies. The software seems pretty nifty too. -
also red, haha nahh i wish, my eee pc broke, i stepped on the screeni gave my 17" old dell lcd + the eee pc to my brother now and he uses it for skool work, no gaming is possible on a 600 hz celeron. when i OC it to 1.1GHz, gameboy emulator is playable with max speed of 150% as well as project64. that's about it. i mite try installing halo trial on it just for SnG.
but using eee sticks on my G51 is useful for when im watching a movie on my plasma and want to quickly pause/play the video.
on tf2, i get like 0.5-0.7 K/D ratio, it goes something like this... -
They're not quite the same, Soviet, although they can achieve similar effects.
-
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
From what I understand, they are the same. May I ask for your take on it? http://www.overclock.net/computer-peripherals/137100-dpi-sensitivity-im-so-confused.html
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
Huh. Never thought about it that way. I'll try some higher sensitivity and see how it works. After all, lining up that headshot isn't nearly as important in L4D or TF2 as it is in CS 1.6/S. -
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
In CS:S, headshots are everything. The art of mouse warfare must be mastered on all sensitivities for all games, though not including MMORPG, which nobody should be playing.
-
Write a review already!
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Nah it isnt locked, it can be changed as shown on the OLED in the vid.
I had the MX518 previously and i thought the size was perfect. This looks a bit smaller then that so im actually pretty happy. Yeah the software is nifty it seems like something Rzer would have made.
Lol, i can imagine how fast tf2 must be heh.
Write a review? LOL! They didn't even ship it yet....Which is really unlike Amazon. I know when they ship something you get an email and i haven't gotten any kind of confirmation. I should contact them, maybe they shipped already. -
no one confessed in my family, most likely it was my brother haha.
asus celeron 900MHz OC = fail on halo trial, it was getting like 4 fps haha. it is only good for project 64 emulation. -
Hmm... I should probably just suck it up and give it a shot anyhow. Though I might receive the death glare for ordering yet another shiny. I need a new mouse pad anyhow.
Order in. Couldn't resist it anymore. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
On a side note guys, the mouse was shipped today!(Yay!)
It says it wont come till the 27th but Amazon is normally way off and its usually earlier then that. I hope i get it this weekend so i can do a review. -

Not bad for $50.00 I love my MX518 and never plan to replace it
I just got a new one not too long ago, but as a MX518 owner you can give me an unbiased opinion on what mouse you like better.
DPI is not a factor for me, as your just killing off the dpi with a lower sensitivity in games. The real factors are ergonomics, usability, software, price, things like that. -
The Fedex ninja dropped off my package today. Didn't even realize it was here, they don't knock anymore. Had to have mine overnighted since it's that time of the year down here where packages mysteriously disappear if they take the usual 5-7 day route.
I'm glad I went through with this soffar. It's flatter in the spot where I had trouble with the G5 (under the index and middle finger), so my hand can utilize this one more easily. It also feels a lot smoother in the palm area. It doesn't have that perfect yet abrupt roundness feel like the G5. It's more like it tapers which is a lot more comfortable to me. -
idk, and honestly halo 1 is dead, whoever plays usually only has intel GMA gfx card, that game is just way too dated gfx wise. -
I still play Halo pretty regularly on my 8800GT. And it will not run on most Intel GMAs...hell, my old 6600GT could barely keep up.
-
Wait, this mouse has lighting effects that shoots "light beams" (the rep's words not mine) from the front of the mouse when firing weapons in-game? I'm confused as to how this feature makes you pwn more n00bs in a FPS.
In any event, aside from the gaudy and truly ghastly lighting "features", the mouse looks pretty tight. I like the large thumb buttons on the side. The G9 could learn a lesson in that department. -

Also WHAT?! BF = Black Friday....I KNEW i shouldnt have left that unstated hah. Yeah Halo when it first came out on PC was pretty phenomenal but id ont know if i could go back to that now. I still dont know why Halo 2 took 2 years to come out on PC after Xbox version either....and it was actually worse. I also still want to know what happened to the Halo 3 for PC, how sad it could have looked stunning on a high end card.

I've had the opposite in luck with UPS. I did that whole pre-order on Newegg with Win7 and my package went missing somewhere between their warehouse and UPS. Followed the protocol for getting a replacement, reporting the issue to both sides, coming up on a month soon between having to 'prove' that I never received the thing. Loooong claim process. Luckily a family member ordered the same thing and gave me theirs until I get my replacement in to upgrade them. But ugh, just a nightmare because the both of them have the whole 7-15 business day to process thing going on. -
LOL at the sudden mental image of hand held high wattage spotlight being strapped to a mouse with some guy yelling pwn!!! at the top of his lungs.
The 'light beam' is just an option to have the colored lights on the front of the mouse change to a white light anytime you click a mouse button. Nothing too dramatic. Although it defeats the purpose if you set those lights to white for your profile's color scheme. It's something I'd say that would be more noticeable to those standing in front of you while you're using it. More of a showoff at the LAN gathering kind of feature.
The lights can also be configured via the software so if you only wanted the front part, the top part, or none of the mouse to be lit up, it's doable. -

Well Great news! The status is on "arrival scan" Which means its here. I am excited that means i will probably get it on Friday. I will try to get a review in by Sunday, peace! -
Glad to hear your new mouse is almost there. I'm looking forward to a review of some sort on it.
