I bought a zalman nc1000(accidentally I think) but I have a 17inch notebook, would the nc1000 do anything for my notebook? or should I return it and get the nc2000?...I'm pretty sure I ordered the zalman nc2000 but on the site it just says notebook cooler so I didn't know exactly which version is was , but I assumed it was the nc200 because that is what I searched for lol.

The NC1000 should fit the 17" notebook fine. You should notice that all of the footing should fit within the stage.

It works fine for my 17" notebook. :)

It depends on which notebook you have, and how prone to heating up it would get.

look at the bottom fan vents of your notebook.

if they line up to the NC1000 vents, then its fine.

The bottom vent does, but IDK what that leads too, but the one that vents out the hot air then no...., but isn't the fan for the nc2000 in the same area as the nc1000?

Just use a program like HWMonitor and see if your temps go down using your NC100. Seriously, Gophn gave you a great answer.
