I bought my first notebook mouse "Microsoft Notebook Optical 62Z-00013 2-Tone" It cost around $16. This mouse is the worst hunk of garbage on the market. In order for it to work right you have to have the mouse like a foot from the USB port. Trust me this mouse sucks.

So I bought the Logitech V200 and this mouse works from at least five feet or more. I wrapped a heavy towel around the mouse and from three feet away it worked great. For $24 (on sale) this mouse is great compared to the one from Microsoft. If I had to recommend a notebook mouse the Logitech V200 is the one.

Haha, welcome to the V200 club. On meh second one so far-if you know where to look you can actualy find them for 20$ fairly commonly. Theyre great mice indeed, you may also note they work on nearly every surface. And without remembering to turn it off i get around a month of battery life.

I actualy owned the "Logitec Notebook Mouse" which is damn-near-identical to the v200, other than using an older led type, and slightly shorter reception. Twas almost as good.

^.^ Vwelcome to having a good mouse. Its a lovely thing.

Personally, I've found bluetooth mice to be superior to rf mice... but I haven't really had good experiences with rf mice...

Your next step up ought to be the Logitech VX. Its a bit more costly but a fanatastic mouse as well.
