    Hi,

As in title, I am thinking purchasing a headphone recently. However I basically knows little about headphone brands and models. Can somebody recommend me one model with price around/lower than $100 bucks?

Main use: just for listening pop music and sometimes Rock&Roll and Rap (Big fan of Eminem :D )

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Thanks,

Shure SE215? Detachable cable which is always good for earbuds. They are not a whole lot different from the 315s or the 425s either (I own 425s). Pretty big improvement over the old 210, 310 and 420 which had some serious build quality issues (brittle cables that cracked and rubber ear pieces that lose their adhesiveness and detach from the plastic shell, exposing the cable which is prone to breaking).

For under $100 you can get a Grado SR60 or SR80. Very good sound quality and have a kind of old school look to them.

They are open headphones though, meaning people beside you can kind of hear what your hearing and you can hear outside as well.

I will 2nd the recommendation for Grados. The sound is excellent. However, as with any heaadphones, I would recommend trying before buying. They don't make for the most portable headphones.

    AudioTechnica ATH m50.

They are Studio Monitor headphones. On ebay you should be able to get them for around $100 and you can check amazon. I think retail is a bit higher, but I bought mine for $100.

I think at sites like Head Fi and Audiophile forums people consider the ATH m50s to be great headphones for the $100 you spend on them. Very good, very high quality sound for the amount of money you pay.

They are closed which I like better in headphones so people outside can't here what you play.

U gotta spend more than $100 to enjoy true music on headphone.
Sennheiser! Once you buy one, you'll never go back! Try the HD558!
