Hello. I have been using a "Razer Mantis Speed" mouse pad for the last... 3 years.

Unfortunately, I bought it online without knowing it was HUGE!!

So, this mouse pad was for my desktop (i am quite happy with it), and now I bought a laptop and I need a "portable mouse pad".

Which one do you recommend? I've seen this one which is cheap, but I don't know about the quality: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/34397...Edition-Gaming-Surface-Mouse-Mat/Product.html

Buy an ordinary mouse pad from the computer store and cut it yourself :D :D

Well, but I want a "good" (gaming?) mouse pad (and I'd prefer if it was already small :p)

Take a piece of cardboard. Cut it to the exact shape and size you want your mouse pad to be. Then glue a large sheet of wax paper to the cardboard. There you go! Gaming mouse pad!

Im a high sense player and I hate those big pads :p check out the Steel series Qck mini. Great bang for the buck and quality was impressive. And very portable and thin.

Since he's using a G5 he's probably a palm (low sensitive) player. Which would require at least a medium size pad.

Go with a bigger size. I use G5 as a high sens, G5 is actually usually a high sens player since lasers usually skip on highsens

    I guess I'm a... low sens player (i don't really know :p)

I use my G5 with 2000DPI, but with 3/10 sens in Logitech SetPoint (and usually default game sens).

I'm also a palm player (actually I have never seen a "non-palm player", I don't know how that would be :p) . I'll take a look at that SteelSeries QcK mini, thanks

EDIT: Well, now I'm not sure if the "mini" would be too small. Maybe I should pick the normal QcK. And what about the "4D"?

The 4d is legendary but the real reason I chose qck was the price and portability. The 4d is a hard plastic mousepad while the chick is fabric foam and rubber. Suprisingly the qck amazed me for its quality I was expecting a plain pad with steelseries logo on it but the thing is percise and slips less then a evo ( famous car). also for 1/3 the price it really inticed me to try it out and i dont regret the choice :p.

4D you could put it probably in the same bag as your notebook. Qck I fit it in my notebook when i closed and it actually fit, also can just roll up.

Well, I have "built" a SteelSeries QcK Mini "test-zone "

    :D

I will try it with TF2 for 1 hour now, and I'll see is the size is convenient.

razer just came out with a new pad called the goliathus. like its name, its a big pad, BUT it comes in three different sizes and it looks like theres an average size pad. like the mantis, you can get it in control or precision.

Ok I need to place the order tonight, so I have 2 hours to decide between QcK and QcK mini. Please help me!

    What would you choose?

    Mini is 250mm x 210mm 6€
    "Normal" is 320mm x 285mm 8€

Or maybe the 4D? But damn, it costs 17€! It would be more expensive than the keyboard itself!! (EDIT note: I forgot the keyboard thing was in another thread, anyway.. I wanted to buy the pad along a Logitech Wave for just 15€. I'll probably pick the Mini, so it will be 21+9shipping = 30€ ;)

Too late. 29.99€ shipped Logitech Wave Keyboard and Steel Series QcK Mini.

And now I wonder... Why would I use a external keyboard when I have a laptop?

    Hmm
