This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I work with various old pieces of hardware that rely on serial communication.
    Due to size/budget limitations I will be using a Dell Vostro A90 (aka Inspiron Mini 9)

    Can anyone recommend a good RS232->USB adapter? Everything I have read online says "Be careful, some USB adapters are unreliable" but no one recommends a solid brand.

    Check out monoprice...they do have reviews for each product so you have a better idea of what you are getting
