I'm going to use it for my laptop as I head off to college. I will be playing some games, primarily starcraft 2, bioshock, and Skyrim when it releases. I'd like to keep it under 30 (I can bump it given enough reason to), since I think it's a waste on my part to pay more for just a mouse. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I'd probably prefer wireless, but all suggestions are welcome.

For gaming wireless mice are not recommended.
SteelSeries Kinzu is a very good mouse that is close to your budget, take a look at it. -
The fact for wireless is just that it looks snazzy and easy to move around with, but wired is fine.
Any other suggestions? The Kinzu isn't really calling out to me... -
If wired isn't a deal-breaker, check out the Razer DeathAdder. It's one of the flagship gaming mice, and at $45 it's pretty cheap (compared to other gaming mice, anyway). It's available in both left and right-handed form factor, and has 5 buttons and a 3,500 DPI optical sensor, one of the best ever made.
Well worth the $15 extra if you ask me. -
I think it would be well worth it. There's a reason mice like the deathadder and the MX518 sell well. -
I see the MX518 is cheaper, how come? They both look pretty good imo.

If it's within your price range then you can't go wrong with it.
I need a cheap but good quality mouse?
