    I'm trying not to spend over $360 on all of this as well, so I don't know what I should splurge on and what I should try and cut back on.

    Mouse and keyboard I have absolutely NO idea. I think I might like a wireless option, or maybe a bluetooth if it comes with a dongle (laptop doesn't have bluetooth)

    Backpack, I'm thinking a Targus, but I don't really know which one. I just want it to hold my laptop, a book or two, a notebook, and my pens and what not.

    Alright, I'll check those out.

    After looking at bags for a while, I kind of like these two:

    Also, for the mouse and keyboard, I don't really do a whole lot of gaming or anything, at least not to the point where I need a $100 keyboard/mouse to boost my performance. What I'm looking for is a large comfortable mouse (big hand) that has a nice scroll wheel and maybe buttons to go back and forward while browsing the internet (heard some mouses come with this?). As for a keyboard, I don't really need anything to fancy I suppose, I just don't want to have to type on the laptop keyboard while I'm at home. The only thing I could think of that I would want on the keyboard are some extra keys that have shortcuts to programs on them, and it would be great if I could set what program the shortcut loads up.
