OK, so I'm tired of 2 styles of keyboards (desktop/laptop) I'm just getting all laptop style keyboards... but I don't know what to get...
money doesn't matter(well unless it rediculous)
1. Must be a laptop style keyboard
2. Must have basic media keys (play/pause/forward/back/vol)
3. Must have an Windows key on the left side of the keyboard(some don't?)
4. Must have a number pad
5. Must have a straight "enter" key (none of this L-shaped/block-shaped stuff)
6. and prefferrable wired, but not an issue either way.
7. aluminum would be cool, but not a requirement
I've been looking for over a month now, does a keyboard like this even exsist?
Thanks for any help!

Heh, I'm just going to get the Apple wired keyboard. Looks good, has USB ports, laptop feel. Done. The only problem is that it's on the pricier side, but I'm considering selling my old Apple keyboard/trading it to a friend for his aluminum one.

The Lachesis seems as though it may fulfill your requirements, unless I'm unsure about what you mean by "laptop style".

Is what I recommend. -

I'm also looking at the apple, but I'm trying to avoid apple hardware after my experience with my Ipod.
I just looked at the Logitec. looks go except I don't see any back/next buttons for music(this is really important to me). but that's alot of the suggestion! -
yuio, take a look at the Razer Lycosa (the one you linked) and Arctosa keyboards. They're both full-layout keyboards with laptop-style keys and backlighting. They have media buttons as well, but otherwise they're pretty minimalist. -
Yeah although having USB ports in your keyboard is a good idea is is completly useless in my opinion. I have a nice Dell keyboard that has two USB ports located on the back. I have not found a device yet that can be powered using the keyboard. You just a message on-screen saying that there isn't enough power to use the device. I have tried using my Belkin wireless adapter, even tried my USB storage drive and still not enough power. Dont bother paying money for USB ports in your keyboard because it is a complete waste of money.

The Razer Arctosa does not have extras like USB ports or audio throughputs. It's a very minimalist design. The actual key layout is more or less identical to that of the Lycosa, although white instead of blue, no backlit keys, and cheaper.

I'm still looking at the other suggested Razer, my Boss walked in so... the NBR window got closed pretty fast lol. does the Razer have the back/next media keys? I'm having a hard time seeing if they are there or not.
Edit: never mind I see it.
RAZER Arctosa is the winner. just placed the order at NCIX.com with a price match to 44.82 -
Yes, I meant Lycosa not Lachesis. LoL
That error was typed on a Lycosa! -
, I went with the cheaper RAZER as USB/Audio and backlights mean nothing to me.

Logitech Wave keyboard?

Hey YUIO.
I am afraid to know about your requirements.
I think tired after searching for a perfect match.
But i want to suggest you to try I-Ball's Key board because as i am know about this company it has a wide range of series in this field so i think from their site you may find some perfect match to fulfill your requirements.
I know its tough to find out but try there man ! -
Once again, a bit late: he already said he ordered the Razer Arctosa.
-
I saw the Wave, just wasn't really my style, but thanks for the suggestions. I didn't know I-Ball exsisted.. is there a Canadian site that sells it? (hey, I have a couple of desktops... so I could always use more
).
I need a new keyboard
