    Hi all,

As I don't understand much of printers I thought I ask you guys, I hope you can help me out. I'm so tired of going out there and search for a place to print stuff so I thought I better buy me one.
    What I need:
    1. Cheap.
    2. Small.
    3. I need it for black&white A4 printing only - text, tables, graphics and such.
    4. To be available in Europe..

    Any help is appreciated.

    Just a few pointers

I have had two small laptop type color printers
In both instances they have hardly been used as the cost of ink has been high and the ink dries out not being used enough
I bought a monochrome laser printer almost ten years ago, “its very large” but the cost to print is very reasonable and it was used a lot and no worry on drying up the ink on this type

    Thank you for your response.

I don't mind buying a monochrome laser printer(actually I'd prefer it) but they are too big(as far as I know) and I have very limited space.

Why not pay a little more and buy a good wi-fi HP all-in-one? Really really useful..

    No space.

I suppose I should tell you why this is such a problem. We(me, my wife and a cat) are living in a studio apartment - 19m²(200 sq.ft.?). Don't ask how.
    So "small" is a must.

I have a Dell Photo 926 printer. Its pretty small and practically free to run. I do not know about availability in Spain, but here in the states, the printer is like $75. The black cartridge is about $14 and the color cartridge is about $16. At Staples, which is a office supply store, you can return your old empty cartridges for an instant $3 back each. So getting a new cartridge is like $11-13, which is pretty nice.
Its great at black and white, color is sometimes finicky though.

One thing I can say is that most Canon printers have very expensive ink replacement cartridges, so that is a big turn off I have to them.

Epson is supposed to have some technology which saves ink, but I do not know if it actually works.

The nicest color printers I have seen are unfortunately like $1000 xerox phasers, but I am sure their is something decent in the inkjet range.
    HP usually has decent printers.

HP laserjet P1006 and P1005 are worth a look at and available in Spain
Look at the size, they don't seem to bad for size for the type
Just put a cover over it when you are not using it... to keep the cat fur out

Thanks for all the info guys.

Anyone familiar with SAMSUNG ML-1640? It's small and cheap(80 euros) and according to the reviews I've read it's good.
