I think it might be a sickness... another bag.

The Bag Lady, aka Vogelbung, is on the hunt for another bag. I am on course to beat my GF's bag count shortly.

However, I'm going in reverse for this requirement. It's been triggered by a series of events as of late but I'd like a more earthly alternative to the Delvaux / Valextra bags.

Something not particularly cheap looking, but not expensive - and practical in use. Stylewise, a flap-over messenger as a base, 'smart casual' you might say. Accomodation for either 13 or 15-inch notebooks.

I was thinking about a Knomo Warwick, but I recently sighted one on someone I (correctly as it turned out) pegged from the back as an Applezombie hipster plonker, and I don't like the way it bends around the body when being worn - it ends up looking a bit untidy.

I looked at the Tusting Messenger, but it seems a bit, well, over plain.

Ideally it would be avaialble in the UK/Europe. If it's something very unusual I'd consider importing from the US/etc.

    Recommendations?

    watch the movie "fight club".

maybe you'll find help for your sickness which is by the way called "consumerism".

The Tusting looks nice. The Knomo looks like a man's purse :p

Thank you comrade for your sage advice. It is indeed most fortuitous in this Year Of The Tiger that you would be able to show me the Grrrrreat errors of my decadent ways.

I will go and sit in the corner with my 'D' (&G) hat.

Made me think of 1984 for some reason.

I liked the bigger storage capabilities of the Knomo but the design of the Tusting is a little nicer.

Yes - I wasn't looking for a critique on the listed bags but something along those lines.

I also like the Tusting better, but I haven't seen one in person and it seems a little over sparse as I said.

It's probably one of the reasons I didn't like it when I saw it - the guy obviously had it as a shoulder bag, but I could see it being a 'professional womans' tote if it had slightly more rounded lines and a longer handle.

This is worth a bumpage as I have not managed to find anything I like.
