I would love to have a photoprinter that can print both photos and text. I would love to be able to get it for under 70 dollars. Ive seen some places online with good rebates and such but I just don't know what to look for in printers.

I print my photos at Fred Meyers. $.15 a print and they are real photo prints. I wouldn't bother with any of the so called 'photo printers'...Supplies cost too much and the prints usually aren't waterproof.

i just dont want to spend tons of money on ink, my parents have had a bunch of printers and the ink has always cost over 30 dollars per cartridge.

If all you need to do is print text, you should get a laser printer. The toner is much cheaper than inkjet cartridges.

Or, places like Walgreens refill ink cartridges (not an unlimited number of times) but a refill on black ink is only about $6.

Yeah, where I go you just poke your camera card in, crop and touch up if you want, place your order and pick them up in an hour. You can now also load your photos and place your order on-line, pick them up in an hour. Lots of places do it, I just don't like WalMart... :p

I rarely even use my own printer. Its expensive. I have my laptop with me everyday at school anyways. I pay lots of money to go there, so I just use their printer and ink. :) But I normally go to kinko's for any of my photo prints. Their high gloss paper is good stuff, and they can resize it easily enough when I'm too lazy to do it. ~$3 for a nice sized print too. Not too bad.

There are some very good laser printers for a small price.Think about HP LaserJet 1018(~110e) or Lexmark E120(~75e).These are the prices in Serbia&Montenegro,it probably should be cheaper in EU or America.

I'd recommend the Canon Pixma series. I love my MP500!
