I need to ask what's so special about a metal keyboard?

Thats just me though, I'm not about modding my case and doing other asthetic stuff.. I'd rather spend my money to build the highest performance machine I can, even if it ends up looking like Frankenstein... lol :)

Still I want to know what's up with they keyboard. Anything special besides the looks? BTW: I still do like the Thinkpad keyboard... it rocks compared to other notebooks IMHO.

Its a military spec keyboard. Water proof, shock proof, vandal proof, solvent/gas proof, etc. Main purpose was for my garage computer so I can weld around it and type on it with super greasy hands. It is nowhere near being a "toy" of a case mod accessory.

I typed on something similar. It sucks. You get no feeling of the keys.

Actually they feel pretty close to a cold heavier lapop keyboard set. Obviously we are not talkin about somethin for 24/7 use, but something for a outdoor seting here you need to type in a bit of stuff, and not full term papers. Getting used to the key placement is going to take a while. Also its odd typing on something that feels as cold as a slab of beef from a fridge :p
