Hello everyone, im new to the forum although i have read quite a few beforehand and I have decided that I am in need of some sort of cooling fan for my laptop. I have tried the undervolting and it did help but everything still melts around me.

I have an HP DV5 and I originally wanted a NZXT CRYO LX Aluminum simply because it looks so beastly but they dont have it in my local computer store and Amazon wont deliver it to me for some reason so I was wondering if the Zalman ZM-NC3000U Notebook Cooler would be a good choice as well, I recall you all saying wonderful things about the NC2000 so i figured the next in line would be good as well.

14.5"? I don't know how many fan you can see from the behind but why not a MasterCooler U2 or U3? You can place the fans anywhere you want.

its a 15.4 i believe, i just thought of the cryo or the nc3000u were good because they also had usb ports which were also beneficial. im not too knowledgable about the mastercooler u2 or 3

well as a current owner of a DV5T (1009TX) for 2 yrs..i'd recommend the Notepal infinite...the extra USB ports were extremly handy...plugged in a Creative USB set/KB/Mouse....cools it well..the 9600MGT never goes up beyond 68 degrees.....after an hour-hour an half in a non A/C room( rural QLD in summers)...i also have the ZALMAN NC (without power adaptor) and havent used it cuz the notepal just works...and has been working for the last 2Yrs without fail (knock-wood)
