    the best low-priced in-ear monitor(IEM) are:
    Westone UM1
    Shure EC2
    Etymotic Er6i

those are the best bang for the buck on the market actualy. If you want someting that cost less, you could try to find some Creative Zen aurvana on sell.
By the way the cx300 are not in-ear, they are semi-intra type, like most of the headphones out there. Try to avoid Boss and sony, those are 2 compagny that give muddy/bassy sound, far from the accuracy of a thrue IEM

Koss, not Boss. Boss make nice clothes. But yeah, CX300 are nice (better than my EP630). Also check out Jays J-jays and Jays D-jays. Very good in-ear phones.

I loved my E2C .... Shure has an AMAZING warranty. The only problem I had with them was the headphone wire tends to crack in cold weather..that's how I went through two pair (both replaced under warranty by Shure).

However, if you can spend the extra money, I HIGHLY recommend the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 ( http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Ears...6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1185931683&sr=8-1)
They've got two separate drivers, so they have awesome base/mid/treble, and they fit great. Also alot smaller than the Shures. Been using them every day for 10 months without a problem, and once again, they have a kickass warranty from Ultimate Ears.

Just something to think about if you can afford to spend a bit more.

The Koss I had where garbage and they where that cheap they cost like $40, so I expected decent sound, which was not the case.

    I recently purchased: Sennheiser-PXC-250-Canceling-Headphones

whcih have turned out to be great, although teh bass could be better, but I like them. I purchasedmine for 70 bucks so if you look online I am sure you can find them for that price.

A biologist guy told me in ear headphones pwn your ears.

And cause hearing damage after prolonged use.

And remember!! You shouldn't listen to your eadphones with the sound over half way!!
