    Hi

I have an asus x83-VB laptop, with an infrared receiver on it but it does not come with a remote.

What media center remote can I use with this ?

I have seen some media center remotes come with HP notebooks but when I tried using them it didn't work on my laptop.

    Thanks

You can pick up one of the hundreds of Dell OEM MC remotes knocking around ebay. Even if it doesn't work with the notebook, they'll come with the Dell receiver. To narrow things down you can search for MR268.

I am looking for something that works without the IR receiver. There's an IR receiver on my laptop.
