    Hi,

Today I swapped out my 6300 for a 6230 because I wanted to add Bluetooth functionality.

The adapter installed fine and I have my Logitech Bluetooth mouse working great with it. The issue I am having is that I want to use my Plantronics HD Pro headset with my laptop as well.

I installed the latest drivers and PROSet software from Intel's website and have gotten the headset to connect, but I cannot use it as a Recording device in Windows 7. I got the Bluetooth Audio service to run and it will work as an output device if I enable Audio & Video in the Bluetooth software, but still not as a recording device.

I would like to use this headset with Ventrilo. Has anyone been able to use a headset with this particular Wireless adapter?

The drivers for each Bluetooth service installed correctly once I installed the Intel PROSet software, but the option to use it as a recording device never comes up.

I tested this same headset with a different laptop - a Fujitsu from 2009 with unknown chip in it, and it worked just fine as soon as it paired up.

can you select which Bluetooth service you'll be using?
sometimes i had to switch between headset and stereo for the mic to be active

    The options are

    Audio Sink
    Handsfree Telephony
    Headset
    Remote Control

I've tried just about every combination of enable/disable with them.

Tried a different headset (Samsung) and got the headset working just like I want it.

I guess it was just something with the Plantronics.
