In bed when I wear my earphones, wireless or not, I eventually start getting strange sensations / sounds in my ears when my ear is pressed against a surface.

    Here is what I know
    - It is not just the sound of the earbud sliding against a pillow. It's difficult to describe to the sensations definitely comes from inside the earbud
    - strangely, sometimes when only one ear is pressed against a surface I will occasionally feel some sensations in the other ear
    - it doesn't feel good. it's not painful or loud but definitely wakes me when I try to sleep listening ot music

I am almost certain the sensation is related to electricity somehow and perhaps the static on the bed

What are some ways to prevent this? Someone must have tried this and experience this before and there is probably an article about it but I don't know what this is called

Try wearing headphones in bed and lay on your side. The first night I do this with my earbuds I often don't feel anything but eventually I will.

I dont think its comfortable to have headphones or earbuds on while sleeping on your side. I think this would normally be uncomfortable for most people so Im not sure if anyone can help you ?
