i have a question, i own a VX nano, and i dont know if i bought it DOA.
i never used a hyper scroll mouse before but from what i can gathered its a nearly frictionless scroll mechanism, well my VX clicks and doesn't glide through long documents while scrolling.
do i need to turn the glid function on?

its a known issue that a some hyper scroll mice are defective because of the Barings used in the scroll wheel, so logitech exchanges them free of charge but i want to make sure its broken first

Press down on the scroll wheel once until you feel it click. That puts it into frictionless mode.

i'll give it another shot, i know you need to click the scoll wheel down to switch between modes, maybe i'm doing it wrong or not pressing hard enough *Shrugs*

if i press down and the mouse switches modes, is there some kind of indication that is has switched into frictionless mode?

Other than the wheel becoming frictionless, no. You do feel a click once the drag becomes disengaged tho. If this is not happening, then yes, its possible you got a bad one.

the issue i think is related to the black rubber stretching after a period of use because the hyperscroll works if you turn it upside down. My vx nano basically lost it's hyperscroll like that. It looses it's scroll but it works fine if it's upside down. I'm pretty sure it's not the bearings because i have cleaned it out with those air compressor cans and blown every living dust particles in that slot lol.

I'll probably try to open it in a week or so to see if i can fix it...

but ya.. logitech has awesome warranty work if you ever need it..

Don't open it.. That'll destroy the warranty. Just send it back.
