Is there a list of reliability for external hard drives somewhere?

I've always considered WD and Seagate to be on top.

If its a small 2.5" drive they should be pretty reliable as they don't get much cooling when in a Laptop either. If its a larger 3.5" drive make sure it has decent cooling.

I have a few Saegate FreeAgent Go drives because I love the accessories they've made for them. They've been reliable, but from what I understand a lot of them actually use Samsung drives inside.
