That you can connect to the side of your laptop? I remember the first laptop I ever saw had a mouse that was connected to the side and used a roll-ball.
Though that's a bit antiquated, a mouse that connects to the side of a machine (there are USB ports there) would be ideal for people that don't like the touchpad.
A wireless mouse is good if you are sitting at a desk, but what if you are on a plane or in a park???

Well, the only thing that comes close is just a Trackball.
Either that or use the Touchpad unfortunately. -
... or you can use one of those handheld pointing devices (they do double as a mouse), but I never found those practical ... Check Logitech, I think they have some of those pointer devices, or whatever they actually call them

Google'd around and found nothing pratical. I did however find the most hilarious solution out there: http://www.naturalpoint.com/smartnav/products/basic/basic_video.html.
I can picture me now sitting in an airport with this dot on my head doing a Stevie Wonder impersonation. Funny stuff! -
Haha, that'd pretty nifty stuff
Also, the finger mice too, that's innovative...But the forehead thing...
Is there a mouse out there....
