    That you can connect to the side of your laptop? I remember the first laptop I ever saw had a mouse that was connected to the side and used a roll-ball.

    Though that's a bit antiquated, a mouse that connects to the side of a machine (there are USB ports there) would be ideal for people that don't like the touchpad.

    A wireless mouse is good if you are sitting at a desk, but what if you are on a plane or in a park???

    Well, the only thing that comes close is just a Trackball.

    Either that or use the Touchpad unfortunately.

    ... or you can use one of those handheld pointing devices (they do double as a mouse), but I never found those practical ... Check Logitech, I think they have some of those pointer devices, or whatever they actually call them :p
