Is there a way to make a normal keyboard into a tilted LED lit keyboard?

    Hey

This is kinda strange but Ill try to explain.

I have your normal flat keyboard on my laptop. I would like to change all the keys to one that are tilted (so I can be on my bed and actually see the keys while I type) and are LED lit so I can see them in the dark.

While I think about it, glow-in-the-dark wouldnt be bad either.

    uhh... anything is possible?

so, sure, there is "a way".

no magic though, you would have to just do it. how are your engineering and soldering talents?

    I've wondered the same...

Most people recommend running LED strips around the sides of the keyboard, but it won't make your letters glow.

They might interfere with the closing of the notebook and possibly ruining your screen.

How about using an external keyboard for this "in bed" situation? You probably can get a good one with LED keys as well.

    cheers ...

Depending on your laptop model you may find a drop in pre-fab keyboard that is lighted.

The easiest work around is a usb light to shine on the keyboard from the top of your lcd lid, or one of those glow in the dark/reflective key cover stickers.

Other than that, its going to be a difficult mod that would take way more work than its worth.

use speech to text. no need for a keyboard. life saver for writing essay plans and getting rough ideas down on paper for me.
