Is it just or is having your hand in that position for an extended period of time going to be quite painful?
-
It's not just you.
I can't help to think that this kind of design would put extra strain on your wrist.
It almost looks like you have to bend your wrist upwards so you can position your fingers down on the buttons.
Granted i've never tried out the arc mouse, though. It just looks painful. -
I think you might be overestimating the size. My guess is the whole thing is maybe 5" long, which means the whole thing including that bendy tail portion would fit in the palm of your hand.
-
Why would it be painful? You adjust the Ark to fit exactly your hand.It seems to me the perfect custom fit.In theory....
-
In theory.
How they adjust the bendiness of the mouse, and how it stands up to real-world use, will be the most interesting. -
If it is like it looks like:
- only touch scroll in middle and left-right click is normal click = FAIL. that's old tech nothing new. -
I don't know ...I'm holding the mouses by their sides and 2or3 finger on top.
Couldn't even hold that kind of mouse.
It will go in the way of the 2 m$ phonesthey try and then give up.

That looks like i would have to bend my hand upwards, thus adding on strain.
fake edit: Oh i see now, you can actually adjust the bend to your liking. Yeah, that would be potentially nice for those holding the mouse in other ways.
The arc mouse is made to compete with apple's mice, right?
It amazes me that even in '10, there's still companies making computer mice without the two extra side buttons.
Do people still use the back/forward buttons in the web browser? :O
EDIT:
Still looks like a remote to me. -
-
Oh yeah - I totally forgot about those two. lol
