i noticed there is light bleeding which is common; but the thing that concerns me the most is that there is a bright patch of light (not that bright, but brighter than the rest of the screen) in the middle.

is this common as well on a 22" widescreen monitor?

    thanks

Sorry can't really help you on that one. I have no idea what is up with that. Is it only with FF or all windows?

As far as the backlight goes, I think it is pretty common for screen to be brighter at certain spots compared to other. I am assuming you see this patch of light on a black screen though, and not just in general. For example on my 22" Samsung, I see bright patches on the sides on a black screen. I had a 24" Gateway that has bright patches extending diagonally from the corners to the center of the screen.

I would go check out hardforums for a thread on the monitor. They have one for my monitor that is very useful to see if other people share similar problems.

By the way, that was a very nice commented video! ;)

No I wasn't making fun at all. I just thought it was a helpful way to see the problem instead of explaining it. I liked the comments. What I said was actually suppose to be a compliment! :)
