I can't search for "X1" due to the term being too short...but I've done some hunting around and haven't found any 12" sleeves designed for a widescreen display.

Has anybody had any luck finding a sleeve/case that isn't deeper than the X1 is?

Thanks guys, this site helped me out a lot in doing my research!

I can't remember the specific specs of the X1, but I would check out sfbags.com or ebags.com . SFbags has a wide range of sizes for their sleeves, so you might have a better fit with it.

I checked ebags already, but not sfbags yet. Thanks!

Thanks for the pinderbags.com link, but that's a little more bulk than I'd like...since this would be for protection from scratches inside of my school bag, I want something as tight as possible but still strong...I'll buy a more heavy-duty travel bag later. So far, these are my favorites:

    RadTech
    STM Bags
    Tucano

    Keep the suggestions coming!

I have a Hamlet sleeve which I think is the same as the Hamlet listed here: http://www.bow.it/cgi-bin/bownew2.storefront/IT/product/HA013652

A bit thicker than the examples you provided but the material is great - kind of spongy which goes beyond simply protecting from scratching to also allowing for a bit of shock absorption.
