Hey guys. This forum has proved to be super helpful in figuring out the exact laptop I need. I hope now that I've ordered it, I can get one last bit of help. Accessories!

I've never owned a laptop before, and I just ordered the HP DV6Tse, so it will be a 15.6" screen. Not so sure on heat issues, so not sure if a cooler will be needed.

For transport, I'd like to get it's own bag, and while I'm not in school right now, I will be come the fall, and so if that same bag has room for some books and school stuff that would be great too. Style is a plus!

Any other accessories I'm missing? Headphones, HDMI cable to TV.. umm not sure what else?

Please help me make my first laptop complete!

    Thank you!

Grat's on your on your first lappy :) Exciting! ;)

So you will be needing at least a 15.6" bag or larger. Personally, I would go with a 16"+ I would imagine you would want a Backpack or Messenger. Also, investing in a nice Neoprene Sleeve/or Case might be a good idea. I have purchase a few of mine from meritline.com, as they have been economically priced, yet durable & reliable!

I use a 15.6" Belkin Wave Messenger Bag for my lappy (it's a Dell XPS 1647), works great. I also have a Synergy by Swiss Gear backpack. But, the fit is very "tight". So, I would recommend a larger size if you were looking at that Model for a backpack.

Check amazon.com for some good deals on b.pack/Messengers. I think the Pegasus or Ibex by Swiss Gear might work fairly well for you in a B.Pack

ebags.com has some nice brands of Backpacks/Messengers/Sleeves. And, right now they are 20% Bing CB + Free Ship (not sure if the addt'l 20% is still applicable).

Also, some nice accessories would be a good Mouse (does you lappy have BTooth? Are you a Gamer, or more a Multi-User? How about a nice Portable HD?

    Cin...

Thanks so much Cin for the recommendations! I'm a big guy, and normal backpacks rarely are that comfortable for me, but the extra storage, and being able to just use one bag for everything for school is really appealing.

I think I'll order both to try them both out and see which one I like better. Either the messenger style, or the backpack.

It does not have bluetooth, as I figured it wasn't needed, but with thoughts now of using my LCD TV as a monitor, the distance BT keyboard/mouse offers, it may have been a good idea. I do not intend to use the laptop for much gaming, but an external mouse will probably be useful to have.

A portable HD is a thought, but it'll take me a while to fill up 500gb, so I'm going to hold off on that for now.

Going to check out meritline.com right now, as well as ebags!

    Thanks again Cin.

A mouse is definitely a good idea. I recommend the Razer Orochi...it can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or wired via detachable USB cable, and can do up to 4,000 DPI and has 7 buttons. It's a top-notch gaming laptop mouse for sure, but I recommend it even to people who don't game, simply because it is the best laptop mouse out there, if you can spare the $70-80 it costs.

For Bluetooth connectivity, you can get a cheap USB dongle, or an internal Bluetooth card and install it yourself.
