I've tried to find the answer to my question but I just can't find an answer. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.
Basically what I am looking for is a keyboard for my desktop that is buildt like a laptop keyboard. Ilove the way the keys are (how smooth they are and there short depress distance that I really want a fullsize keyboard that has the feel of a laptop keyboard.
I havn't found the answer to this solution, as I have tried to find a keyboard suck as decribed for days. I came here for answers on the new monitor that I purchased 6 weeks ago and I'm sure that the people here can help me out with this question.
Can someone show me to a link or give me some insight to the product that I am looking for?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps something like this:

I know things, things that could get me killed
Thinkpad T41:
* 1.6Ghz Pentium M * 768Mb Memory * 40Gb Hitachi 7200RPM * Panasonic UJ-845-B DVD+RW * -
That's come up a few times before and every time NewEgg has been the answer. Their stock does change quite a bit though, so if you can't find one you like today, try agian in a week.

That isn't a full size keyboard.
This is exactly what I am looking for:

Seems like it is made for Mac's. Does anyone know if it is compatible with Windows? I e-mailed them but havn't gotten a response yet.

Has anyone had any experience with this keyboard?

It say the following under the item description: "118-key keyboard displays 14 immediate-access hot keys with scissor click key technology to provide the same tactile feedback found on high-quality laptops."
I can't get a zoom of the picture but do you think this satisfies my criteria or is this just another quiet keyboard that doesn't 'click'? -
After extensive research I bought a keyboard for those who care.
It is the BTC 6300CL found here:

Thanks to those that helped!

I realize you already got what you were looking for, but I thought I'd add a link...
I found this keyboard when I was looking for a laptop-feeling keyboard for my desktop before it went kaputz.

I really liked it, don't know if anyone else has tried it...?

I e-mailed tech support for the Ice Key and they said that it IS compatible with Windows XP. Just plug it in and Windows will recognize it. FWIW to someone else?

fyi...
was at compusa today, logitech has a streamlined looking keyboard + numpad set that is exactly like a notebook keyboard; it's the silver and black sleek one. also, the keyboard that comes with that gyroscope mouse thing has a notebook keyboard
/too lazy to look up links -
That is the Logitech Di Novo keyboard.
Nice, but no media buttons. Nice, nonetheless though. -
I'm rocking the DiNovo right now, and it does have media buttons. The media pad is fantastic too. It doesn't have a row of 30 useless extra buttons across the top of the keyboard like your usual keyboard, but it does have internet/home, email, search, volume up, volume down, mute, a "media" button, and full player controls. FYI, all of the buttons (except the playback and volume control) are programmable via Logitech's Setpoint software.
Edit: Also, the key actions feel almost mechanical, but are still plenty easy to depress. Really nice tactile feedback. -
Just got my BTC 6300Cl today. Boy is it everything that I wanted. It is slim and the keys are so easy to press with a minimal travel distance. Genuine full size keybaord with number pad connected with media buttons across the top. I love the light up feature of it and you can always disable it by pressing F10+ESC. truly a fantastic keybaord. Wish I would have done this before. The only upgrade would be a wireless version, but I can live with a cord to my keyboard since I don't move my keyboard often at all.
