i've been searching at ebay for 64GB flash and noticed that some has listed 128GB kingston flash sticks, although kingston website doesn't list anything more than 64GB !

could it be that kingston.com is outdated and this stick just been released or the people offering it on ebay are false ad ? (64GB compressed?)

    thanks

highest is 16 GB in Consumer level thumb drive

although many products do have 32 GB as Flash memory but not in the form of USB 2.0 Thumb drive.

thats a fake one for sure...someone fooled my friend the same way..claiming he had 128 GB Flash drive.

it was 2 GB when i checked

How does somebody report a scammer like that? The only way I know is through feedback (but you gotta get burned yourself by being a buyer) or filing a dispute if you are a buyer.

I am sure that by the time the two buyers (one buyer only has an 85 percent positive feedback himself) figure out what happened, this person will have yanked his account.

    Very sad.

There are a lot of fake flash drives around - the problem has been rife on Ebay. There are still no genuine 128GB drives and Kingston only make one 64GB DataTraveller (I phoned them to check) - it's the red DataTraveller 150. For information on genuine Kingston and the fakes being sold see my blog at:

It is surely a fraud as it is not listed on kingston's home page,
I've done some research and found no such evidence that kingston has released some 128gb usb.

The highest capacity USB flash drive from Kingston is currently a 64GB DataTraveler 150 - this is red (the orange one is 32GB) - this is the ONLY genuine 64GB flash drive from Kingston - I spoke to them on the phone on 31 Jan 2009 and they told me this was the only 64GB USB flash drive they supply and that any Kingston USB flash drive advertised as 128GB is FAKE Anyone concerned about fake flash should watch my blog at http://fightflashfraud.wordpress.com/

It is generally accepted that a lowercase b refers to bits, and uppercase refers to Bytes. So, 128G b = 16G B

Wow - that's expensive. But I guess that's what being first on the market earns you. Huge, too. Must take forever to transfer files on and off of that thing. 73 minutes for 128 GB at 30 MB/s, and that's assuming it's fast. USB 3.0 would really help such a huge drive, assuming you actually were transferring files with it often and not just using it as an extraordinarily expensive backup hard drive.

I have in my hand a 128 Kingston DataTravler. Got from ebay. Ebay took the seller off seller list after I paid for it. It reads 124gb on my computer. I was afraid it was a scam but came in the mail today. Amazon sells them for $321.00. Mine cost me $26.00 on ebay
