    I have a desktop, a laptop, and 2 monitors

This is what i want to do:

I want to connect a 19" to my desktop all the time, and have a 22" switch from laptop to desktop
What KVM would i need and would be recommended?

    (need USB ports for keyboard/mouse)
And i will be able to use both laptop screen and the 22" at the same time?

    Thanks in advance for info!

I'm quite sure you can use a laptop with a 22'' screen, even if the screen resolutions are quite different. I know nothing about KVM switches though.

I would like to keep my 19" connected to my desktop at all times

I would like to switch my 22" from laptop to desktop using the KVM thru DVI..

my laptop has hdmi out, which i want to get a HDMI to DVI cable
desktop has 2x DVI outputs (1 to the 19" and the other to the KVM??)

any suggestions on a KVM to do this? good and reliable one..

Yes, either of those should work. I would opt for the first one because I prefer the box style ones.
